These two haiku compositions that are united should have come into my mind more readily than they did so I could write them and link up to the blog hop at
Ronovan Writes #Weekly #Haiku #Poetry #Challenge #71 Cover&Color.
leaves blanket the earth
with a cover of color
it delights the eyes
orange and red leaves too
with bright hues may blow over
and make a leaf quilt
A crunchy quilt! Love this.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Annette.
DeleteI do love the blankets of leaves. Nice poem!
ReplyDeleteLizl,
Quilted Poetry
Thank you. The blankets get quite heavy around here. :-)
DeleteThat was so lovely. I especially like the referance to a "blanket of leaves" and a "quilt". Your photos matched perfectly.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it. Thank you.
DeleteHi Janice! Lovely poem. Many went with nature haiku for these prompt words. That's awesome!
ReplyDeleteVashti, I'm not sure if your comment was meant for Janice or for me, but it was posted here at my sight. If you intended this for Janice, I thought it best to let you know. If it was meant for me, thank you. Thank you for visiting my site. :-)
DeleteJust perfect and the photos are such a wonderful addition. The cool crisp weather causes the leaves to die leaving the trees free from 'dependents' and more able to survive the winter while simultaneously adding new nutrition/life to the soil and giving a warming cover of mulch. Isn't God a clever artist?! Beautiful and purpose filled.
ReplyDeleteMelissa, I love your comments, and yes, I totally agree with His cleverness!
DeleteI like the #leafy quilt' image :-)
ReplyDeleteThank you, Edwina.
