100 Word Challenge for Grown Ups -Week #170 ...but she saw

This is my 100 word story that I am linking up to a blog hop at Julia's 100 Word Challenge for Grown Ups - Week #170 ...but she saw.  The challenge is to use 100 words to tell a story based on the prompt.

As she was entering the store, her daughter tugged on her hand.  Once they were in the store, and out of the way of others, she leaned down to hear what her two-year old wanted to say.  She was shocked when she looked in her eyes and heard her calmly say, "Mommy, some people's heads come off." Her comment seemed to be said more in the way of sharing her newly found knowledge than anything else.  She followed her daughter back outside. There in the window display were mannequin heads donning hats. Her young daughter saw heads without bodies!

    1. Children often see it like it is, or at least appears to be.
