We know that fall will come
Leaves don't fall with a thud,
They lightly settle on the ground
and wait for others to come
and be near them all around.
Seldom do elderly people lightly fall,
Sounds and cries of pain arise
to the ears of others nearby
not ready to say last goodbyes.
We know that fall will come,
and we must wait our turn
to see how we will exit
and how we will again return.
To Him who sent us here
and that hope helps us find
direction while going through the seasons
and comfort and peace of mind.
Hmm... Nice poem. Now how might I like my 'exit' to be? Fitting thoughts for fall, I think. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteLots to think about, huh?
DeleteYou did a great job with this. - Your analogy of leaves falling and life exiting is quite interesting. I enjoyed this.
