Share Your World - January 9, 2017

Here is a quick post to answer four questions on the blog hop Share Your World - January 9, 2017.  Each week Cee shares some questions that make our minds spin, like the first one this week, at least in my case since I have never dyed my hair.  Click on the link to see how others have answered these same questions.

If you lost a bet and had to dye your hair a color of the rainbow for a week, what color would it be? I would choose the color blue.  My hair would be in shock and so would my friends and relatives if they saw me with a change of hair color.  That's never happened!

If you could choose one word to focus on for 2017, what would it be? Focus.    👀  I want to stay focused on doing those things that will make a difference in a good way in my own life and he lives of others.

Bringing some joy to my Mom in a nursing home

What was one thing you learned last year that you added to your life? To feel more comfortable with letting others help me when I need the help.  I tend to be a very independent person and hesitate to ask for help, so I was given some situations this last year where I couldn't do some things without help.  I'm very grateful for the help I received and for painful learning experiences.

If life was ‘just a bowl of cherries’… which fruit other than a cherry would you be..? Avocados. Yes, they are a fruit.

Optional Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up? Here is the link to my Ten Things of Thankful post that mentions some wonderful things that happened in my life last week.  This week I am looking forward to a very special event to honor a very special person.  It isn't my mother this time.

  1. I think there are many of us out there that need to focus a little bit more. Have a great week.

  2. Your mama looks like a sweet and beautiful lady. I like her crown. :)

I've always been an independent person, too. When I was first learning to walk, I wouldn't let my mama help me. I wanted to do it "all by myself" and it has been that way, pretty much, ever since then. I'm sorry for the painful learning experiences that you've had, but happy that you're able to accept help when you need it. I still find it very difficult.

Avocados are a delicious fruit! I love them. They are great in salad and on their own. I passed on guacamole for years because I thought it would taste as disgusting as it looks. I'm glad that I finally took a chance on it. I love it. :)

I hope that your special event goes well. Have a blessed week.

    1. It is funny how the very sight of some things can turn us away from even trying a taste of something. Avocados seem to somethings that people either really like, or really dislike. It is the same with cilantro.

I wasn't sure if Mom would even wear the crown. I'm so glad she did.
