A Week for Writing - #81 - Word prompt: Hope

This blog hop post is being linked to A Week for Writing - #81 - Word prompt:  Hope at  The writing can take any form.  I chose to write haiku poetry for this prompt.

Waiting for the sun,
Hope looked toward the craggy peaks,
but only saw clouds.

With a name like Hope,
disappointment would not stay,
for beauty was there.

A number of years ago we visited Hope, British Columbia in Canada.  It is a beautiful little city with a river that meanders through it and beautiful mountains surrounding it.

  1. How correct! Where there is hope, disappointment will not survive. Good one.

    1. I love the prompt and to ponder its meaning.
